Heres a story for you ...
Left Ivanhoe driving to Wilcannia looking for the “Big Tree” rest area for lunch. After 100k or so of corrugations and roadworks we finally found the big tree and stopped in the shade. I was making lunch and Max was wandering around enjoying the break.
“We’ve lost a spare wheel” he yells out. Oh No...
“Hang on, what’s that down the road?” Sure enough ... believe it or not... it was OUR spare wheel about 100m back down the road! Now that is pretty amazing in itself ... if we hadn’t stopped right then and there for lunch it would have been another 100k before we knew it was gone.
BUT what makes it even crazier is this part of a story on the information sign near the Big Tree. Talk about Max missing an opportunity!
