Through Barcaldine to Aramac and on to Lake Dunn today. More commonly known as “The Lake” it is a freshwater lake 68kms northeast of Aramac. A few old waterfront huts line a short section of the lake. It hasn't had water for a while but is brim full at the moment and popular for fishing skiing etc.(and fishing , apparently a few yellow belly here) So strange to see so much water in desert country with it’s red sand and spinifex grass.
We watched the sun go down over the Lake and enjoyed the serenity and stories around a campfire with new found friends.
