Sculpture Trail

Max's day started here in the centre of Queensland, with a white bellied sea eagle flying over his head. A pair having been coming out here to this lake for years to nest apparently. we spent an amazing day driving 200k around the largest sculpture trail in the world. Phenomenal art pieces placed in the dirt and dust beside the road, up trees or wind mills and on mailboxes and escarpments in a circuit beginning in Aramac. The talent of the artist is in no doubt, what a wonderful contribution to art, to the culture of the outback and to this area.

Lots of yarns and tall stories told around the campfire tonight, we have met some great people. Our paths intersect for a day or two and then spread out in all directions, often with the hope that we will meet up again and all leaving lasting impressions. Love this life.
